Covenant Cooperative Nursery School
Established in 1972, CCNS has served the greater East Providence community by faithfully providing a play-based, developmentally appropriate preschool education in a vibrant Christian environment.
Students are given opportunities to engage with peers and staff in purposeful play that is designed to encourage growth and development socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically. We strive to guide and nurture children, in partnership with their families by caring for the whole child.
God is presented as our loving heavenly Father, creator of all, and Jesus as God’s Son, our Savior and personal friend. Bible stories, prayer and songs of praise are included in our program throughout the school year.

Good Neighbors Food Pantry
At Good Neighbors Food Pantry at Newman Congregational Church (UCC), clients choose food items according to the needs and size of their households. The Good Neighbors Food Pantry Rumford is a satellite program of Good Neighbors, a non-profit organization located in Riverside.

Loaves & Fishes
A shared catering truck is stocked and manned by volunteers from the participating churches, providing food and other necessities at various homeless facilities throughout the state.
Loaves & Fishes Rhode Island (LFRI, formerly Mobile Loaves and Fishes-RI) is a ministry to the poor and homeless that began in Austin, Texas, in 1998, when a handful of parishioners from a church ventured into the community to serve meals out of their minivans to those in need. The ministry grew to include multiple churches in 5 different states.
